How do we fundraise?

Every year we collect money on street and supermarket  collections - children watch and wait to see Santa!

We run a large secondhand bookshop and raise considerable sums for local charities - we are looking for volunteers to help! Find out more about our bookshop including how to find us and opening hours

Exercising in lock-down - see our fundraising virtual challenge - keep fit and fundraise for local charities

We support St Francis Hospice, Rennie Grove and Keech hospices locally in many ways.  For example we join with others to collect old Xmas Trees from the public to raise funds. At Xmas 2022 a staggering 2,000 trees were collected and £28,000 raised for the hospice

Especially during Covid we have made donations to local food banks

Every year we help at the St Albans Beer Festival - for which we get a donation which is given to charity.

Hands at Work (St Albans Group) raise money & support communities in Africa. We supported them recently by helping at a recent event to raise money for a water borehole in Zambia.
