St Albans Lions Club provided new kit for the SOSA group in St Albans.
(Special Olympics in St Albans)
They are a charity group that provides weekly sporting sessions and events for children and adults with an intellectual disability.
They offer athletics, social, swimming,netball and a gym based strength and conditioning training.
Their sessions are an opportunity to develop skills and fitness and build links with the community via other athletes and their families, their coaches and volunteers.

Supporting local hospices
Supporting Steve Harrison, St Albans local to run the London Marathon
We support St Francis Hospice, Rennie Grove and Keech hospices locally in many ways. For example we join with others to collect old Xmas Trees from the public to raise funds. At Xmas 2022 a staggering 2,000 trees were collected and £28,000 raised for the hospice

Hands at Work (St Albans Group) raise money & support communities in Africa. We supported them recently by helping at a recent event to raise money for a water borehole in Zambia.

Every year we support the Cathedral Fireworks at Verulamium by running the Fighting Cocks Gate. This event raises considerable sums for local charities.
